Fall River Reservoir is a U.S. Army Corps of Engineers multipurpose reservoir located in Greenwood County on Fall River. It has been in operation since 1949 and has 2,329 surface acres of water at multipurpose pool elevation. The East Branch and the West Branch of Fall River are designated as “Exceptional State Waters” by KDHE.
Fall River WRAPS Implementation: 2006--Fall River Watershed Size: 585 sq. miles
Toronto Reservoir is also a U.S. Army Corps of Engineers multipurpose reservoir located mostly in Greenwood and Woodson Counties on the Upper Verdigris River, constructed in 1960 and covering 2,800 surface acres. Toronto WRAPS Implementation: 2009--Toronto watershed covers 716 sq. miles.
