The Flint Hills RC&D Area, Inc. is a 501 (c)(3) not-for-profit organization comprised of a network of community volunteers. It is governed by a 36-member council made up of men and women, representing the county commissions, conservation districts, and the county at-large who want to solve local problems.
This sites contains information about WRAPS, water quality programs, workshops on how to start your own agritourism business, and many other resources to assist communities, businesses, and entrepreneurs.

The Flint Hills Resource Conservation & Development Council is seeking applications for a part-time Administrative Assistant/Bookkeeper. Applicant will be required to be a self-starter, demonstrate excellent communication skills, be proficient in Microsoft Office and QuickBooks, have some payroll experience and work well within a group. The Flint Hills RC&D Council completed 3 projects in fiscal year 2010 and ended the year with 12 active projects.
Through Flint Hills RC&D community and economic development projects: 21 new businesses were created; 17 farm related businesses/jobs were created farm rural community jobs were created. Read More
